'No Angel' Blog Tour Begins

There are less than five days left until my first release with Dreamspinner Press. To celebrate, I'll be visiting various blogs over the next two weeks talking about all sorts of topics, and answering questions about my life and books.

You may have noticed I've added a new widget to my blog called 'Latest News', where you can find links to some of the sites I'll scheduled to visit. It's over on the right hand sidebar. Or, you can also find it at the bottom of my home page.

The first post on my tour went live over on Sid Love yesterday. I posted on why I love to read and write in the paranormal genre, and gave some insight into how I came up with certain elements of my newest book, 'No Angel'. There's a short excerpt, and you can enter a giveaway to win an ebook copy, too!

Today's post will be at Chicks & Dicks, where I wrote a short piece of fiction about the events that led to the formation of the Albert Kennedy Trust, who I will be donating a portion of my royalties to.

There'll be no giveaway at the Chicks & Dicks site, but you can still enter to win a signed paperback copy by sharing the post on Facebook or Twitter and tagging me in the post. Hope you enjoy it, and I'll post the link once it goes live.

Hump-day Hotties: Tattooed Temptation #3

Hey everyone. Can you believe it's only 18 weeks to Christmas already? Well, there's still plenty of time to post some hot guy pics until then. We're continuing on with week 3 of the tattoo theme, and here's a gorgeous specimen of a man to tide us over to the weekend.

Would love to be able to see the tattoo close up, but can't really complain about getting a full body shot in this case.

Hump-day Hotties: Tattoed Temptations #2

It's that time of week again, where we get to celebrate smexy guys with smexy ink. (Speaking of ink, don't forget that my book comes out in less than 2 weeks with Dreamspinner!!! /shamelessplug) Anyway, here's this week's image.

Damn, those muscles. And I like that the tattoos aren't overdone... still plenty of unmarked skin to sink your teeth into :)

Now, I need to find out where I can get a copy of this calendar. Even though it's from 2012, I wouldn't mind hanging this from my wall.

Hump-day Hotties: Tattooed Temptations #1

Here we are at the start of another month. And to kick off August, we have this gorgeous specimen.

I don't know what's hotter; the sexy, tattooed muscles, or the fact that he's wearing leather pants. *drools*

Keeping the post short this week as I'm busy working on a few interviews and guest blogs for my 'No Angel' blog tour, but I'll be back next Wednesday with another inked-up hotty.

Making A Difference

Just three weeks until the release of 'No Angel' with Dreamspinner Press. I'm so excited for my first book with a publisher, and I hope it does well. Not just because I want to be super rich and famous, although that would be awesome, but also because I want to use this chance to make a difference.

Some of you may remember that I posted on my Facebook page several weeks ago that I had decided to donate a portion of my royalties to charity. Well, that's still the case, and I've decided on a cause to support.

'No Angel' is all about a small group of homeless teens. They have either been thrown out onto the streets, or ran away because of the hostile environment they lived in. All because they were born different from everyone else. Sound familiar? It should, because every year LGBT youths are forced out of their homes, or driven to commit suicide in the face of bullying and discrimination.

In my book, Sam Mitchell is the eldest of the group. He acts as a role model and protector for the others, finding ways to help them survive life on the streets. Very rarely do homeless youths have this kind of support that they can rely on, but there are people out there who want to help. I've chosen to donate to the Albert Kennedy Trust, who offer advice, mentoring and emergency accommodation for LGBT youths.

They are currently expanding their services to include the Purple Door Project. The aim is to provide youths who have nowhere else to go with a safehouse where they can stay for up to 21 days, while working with AKT to arrange longer-term accommodation, support and therapeutic care. The project also aims to help these youths into education, training and employment, enabling them to get the skills they need so that they can make a life for themselves and stay off the streets.

I think this is a great cause, and I want to do my bit to help them by offering a part of my royalty checks from 'No Angel'. So I want to say thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered already, and to the rest who will buy my book in the future. Know that your purchase will help a great charity in their efforts to get our LGBT youths out of dangerous living conditions and into safe homes where they can get all the support they need to get their lives on track.

If you would like more information on the Albert Kennedy Trust, simply click on the name to visit their site. And, for those interested in what a donation might go towards, click here. I'll make sure to keep you all updated each quarter so you can see my donation progress.
